Naked Pizza and Aligator Sausage Raises Eyebrows.

A New Orleans-based restaurant chain called NAKEDpizza has received welcome investment from the Kraft Group with the aim of making unhealthy fast food healthy.

“NAKEDpizza has become a phenomenon, attracting interest from around the world for its radical approach to the quick-service food industry,” the Kraft Group said in a press release adding that “The company’s mission is to make an unhealthy and popular fast food healthy, raising consciousness about nutrition, health and the food supply, as well as the social impact and obligations of modern business.”

Spicy Red Pepper & Spianata Sausage Sauce Saves lives

Bucket mouth TV chef Gordon Ramsey has come up with a new range of sauces in jars which it is hoped will help save lives.

Ramsey has a heart of gold because he’s not set to make a penny from the range of sauces, with all the profits going to the  Comic Relief charity.

“Comic Relief chief executive Kevin Cahill said every jar sold “could potentially help a child”.

He said diarrhoea was the biggest killer of children under five in the developing world, yet a potentially life-saving oral rehydration sachet could be bought for just 10p”.

Sausage fans are being invited to conjure up their fantasy flavour for a competition being run by Derbyshire farm shop Croots as part of British Food Fortnight. Croots Farm Shop & Kitchen is running a sausage competition throughout British Food Fortnight from September 19th to October 4th and is asking customers to design a banger.

A radio campaign for Mattesons laden with sexual innuendo about where women might like to put the food brand’s “extraordinarily large” sausages has been criticised by the advertising watchdog for airing when children were listening.

Cumbrian Sausage Factory May Move to Hull!

More than 100 jobs are at risk after a food group announced plans to transfer work from a Cumbria frozen sausage plant to Hull.

Vion Food Group Ltd is proposing to shift work from its plant in Shap. A 90-day consultation period has now started with the 118 staff.

Champion Sussex Sausage for Brighton Racecourse

Bramptons Butchers was first past the post in the race to produce a champion Sussex sausage for Brighton Racecourse.

Judges ruled that Bramptons’ traditional pork sausage was lengths ahead of its competitors and awarded owner Paul Williams the Grand Champion Banger trophy at the racecourse’s ‘Great British Race Day’ on 7 June.
